Our Story
Costantino Real Estate has been serving the Lakes Region since 2009. Locally owned and operated, with deep roots in Carroll County and the communities we work in every day.
The Founding
Gerard Costantino grew up in Massachusetts but spent his summers and vacations around Ossipee Lake. The region had a pull on him that never really let go, and in 1992 he made it permanent home.
He got his real estate license in 1995 with a smaller local firm, then joined a RE/MAX office in 2000, where he spent nine years learning the market from every angle. In April 2009, an opportunity came up to purchase a well-located office on Route 16 in Ossipee, and he took it.
What started as a one-person operation grew steadily as clients kept coming back and word spread. Over time, agents who shared his approach to the work joined him, and the team grew to what it is today: 12 agents across two offices, all with the same foundation of honesty and local knowledge that the brokerage was built on.
Gerard still lives on Ossipee Lake, a few miles from where it all started, with his wife and two children.
What We Stand For
We tell clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. Whether it comes to pricing, condition issues, or market timing, our agents give straightforward advice because that's what actually serves people well.
Our agents don't just work here, they live here. We know which roads flood in spring, which neighborhoods are seasonal versus year-round, what waterfront access actually looks like on a given lake, and how the local market moves across different price points.
We are independently owned and operated, not part of a national chain. That means our agents are focused on clients, not corporate metrics. We don't have quotas to hit. We have people to help, and that distinction matters in how we actually do the work.
Rooted in the Region
Gerard Costantino has lived on Ossipee Lake since 1992, and the same genuine connection to the region runs through everyone on the team. Todd Jakubec made Carroll County his permanent home in 1997 after spending summers in Freedom growing up, and Don Belcher's family has had roots in Deer Cove, Ossipee since the 1940s. Bonnie Cotton has lived in Carroll County for 30 years and served two terms as Vice President of the Ossipee Valley Rotary Club. Ed Shannon is a lifetime Carroll County resident, a United States Marine Corps veteran, and a retired New Hampshire State Police officer. Evan McDougal served as an Army Aviator and Coast Guard Search and Rescue Pilot before he and his wife Betsy found their forever home, a 1940s lakeside camp in Sanbornville they renovated together. Jeff Runnals has spent over 30 years building and selling homes across New Hampshire, joining the team in 2014 and bringing deep knowledge of construction that few agents can match.
Others grew up here or came to the region through a lifetime of connection to it. Brandy Hunter is from Wolfeboro. Salina McLellan's earliest memories are of family camp on Knox Mountain in Ossipee. Laurel Caverno has called Ossipee home for years, keeping a small farm and bringing an interior design background to every property she shows. Matthew Costantino works primarily out of the Wolfeboro office with a personal investment in the region that comes naturally when you have grown up here. Haleigh Couture came to real estate after a career as a photojournalist, bringing strong communication skills and a genuine approach to every client conversation.
That connection to the region is not a marketing point. It is just the reality of who we are and where we come from, and it shows up in the work every day.
